Effect of Cleaning Centrifugal Pump Parts on Pump Life

How to clean the parts of centrifugal pump is very important to the life of pump: horizontal centrifugal pump, stainless steel centrifugal pump, fluorine-lined centrifugal pump, pipeline centrifugal pump, chemical centrifugal pump, etc.

Cleaning is an important part of the work, and the quality of cleaning has a great impact on the repair quality of machinery. It is one of the problems that repairmen must consider to adopt correct cleaning methods to improve cleaning quality and reduce costs.

Cleaning in repairing work includes mechanical external cleaning and parts cleaning. Parts cleaning can be divided into pre-identification cleaning, pre-assembly cleaning, parts plating or pre-bonding cleaning.

In the cleaning of parts, the cleaning requirements of coated and bonded parts are the highest, and the cleaning quality is not high. It is often the cause of failure of coating or bonding. The cleaning quality of parts transfer has a great impact on the mission life of machinery. Because the cleaning is seriously unqualified, a large number of abrasives are infiltrated into the important friction pairs, or the dirt blockages the lubricating oil passage, which leads to the early wear and accident damage of the machinery. In some irregular repair work, attention must be paid to it.

The following is a detailed description of the cleaning instructions for centrifugal pump parts.

1) Scrape the scales and rusts accumulated on the inner and outer surfaces of impellers, sealing rings and bearings, and then clean and blow them with water or compressed air.

2) Clean the oil scale and rust accumulated on the joint surfaces of the pump body.

3) Clean the water-sealed pipe and check whether it is unblocked.

4) Clean oil shingles and bearings, go out dirt, clean oil rings and oil meters, etc. Ball bearings shall be cleaned with gasoline.

5) Parts and components that are temporarily not assembled shall be protected by oil after cleaning. All cleaning methods must take full account of the following basic requirements:

1) To ensure that the requirements for cleanliness of parts are met. In repairing, the cleanliness requirement of different parts is different. In reassembling, the cleanliness requirement of fittings is higher than that of non-fittings: dynamic fittings are higher than static fittings; precision fittings are higher than non-precision fittings. For spraying, plating and bonding workpiece surface, its cleaning requirements are very high. Cleaning is to adopt different cleaning methods according to different requirements to ensure the required cleaning quality.

2) Prevent parts from corrosion. No degree of corrosion is allowed for precision parts. When parts need to be parked for a period of time after cleaning, the anti-rust ability of cleaning fluid or other anti-rust measures should be considered.

3) Ensure safe operation, prevent fire or poisoning, and cause environmental pollution.

4) Emphasizing economic benefits. In order to ensure the above conditions, we should improve the efficiency, reduce the cost of raw materials, and reduce the cost of equipment to improve the economic effect.
